(July 20, 1939 – June 22, 2025) Game to the end but increasingly frail, Alistair died in his sleep late in the evening of the 22nd of June, at the age of 85. He enjoyed a long retirement after teaching English and serving with the faculty association at Carleton University for near on 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sonia, and their sons, Edward and David. A memorial gathering will be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. Condolences/Tributes/Donations Hulse, Playfair & McGarry www.hpmcgarry.ca 613-233-1143
