Had the pleasure of knowing and doing work for Al for well over 20 years. You wouldn't find a nicer man, if you look. Always happy and friendly. I was a better person for knowing him. My sympathies to his son Paul and all of the family. Heaven's gain is our loss. Rest in peace, Allen.

I RECALL AL WHEN HE WAS IN NATIONAL ACCOUNTING.AT EY. I WAS DOING THE FIRST MAGNA SUB THAT HAD DEFERRED DEVELOPMENT COSTS THAT THE POLICY AL WROTE SAID TO CAPITALIZE. I RECALL AL BEING A PERFECT GENTLEMAN WHEN WE WROTE THEM OFF ANYWAY AS THE PRODUCT WOULD NEVER MAKE MONEY. MY CONDOLENCES TO AL'S FAMILY. AL WAS A FUN PERSON TO WORK WITH.

My condolences to Al's family. I worked for Al at Clarkson's when I arrived in Toronto as a new recruit from the UK in the summer of 1968. He was a lovely, patient man, always a pleasure to be with, and I am grateful for the encouraging start which he gave me in the profession.
