EVANS, Dr. Alvin Lloyd
Passed away at the Village of Winston Park, Kitchener on Friday, July 6, 2012 at age 91. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Wallace); loved father of John, Joyce and Philip (Elaine), loving grandfather of five grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Frances and by his brothers Philip and Ted. Alvin lived an amazing life, lecturing at the University of Waterloo well into his 80's. Prior to becoming a Professor Emeritus and a published author Alvin was a police officer with the City of Guelph, a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, a Veteran of WWII with the Navy, a United Church Minister and a counselor. He touched an extraordinary number of lives and will be sorely missed. A memorial service to celebrate Dr. Evans' life will be held at Parkminster United Church, 275 Erb St. E., Waterloo on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 2 p.m. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Cremation has taken place.
