My deepest sympathies to Etan, Anthony, Brooke, Patrick and their families on the profound loss of Amanda. She was a loving wife, sister, auntie and friend.
Amanda was beautiful, bright, effortlessly stylish, funny, talented and above all kind hearted.
I am forever blessed and grateful to have had her friendship in my life. We grew up as childhood best friends and remained so despite the miles that separated us. I take with me so many wonderful memories that shall remain in my heart forever.

Etan, we never met, but like other office friends of Amanda’s, it felt like I had, simply through the loving descriptions of you she would share. Amanda was so special, and so giving of herself to her family, friends and all those she worked to help. I wish I had been able to stay in better touch with her in recent years, to go for one more nice lunch, another clink of a great glass of wine. She was always so ready with great advice, with helpful information she would learn about situations I was facing, and best of all - with a laugh.
Sending you sincere condolences, Etan and family, and sharing a small part of your grief in learning of this sad news.

"What would you like to say about Amanda?" this post asks. Well, for starters, I wish that I had gotten to know my cousin sooner in life. My first known instance was when she was an 18-yr old in Woking, England, and she probably thought I was this way old 26-yr old, just passing through, which I was. But the next time was at our Cousin's Reunion, and we immediately hit it off. We found common ground through exploring our families' histories, and kept in touch through emails and social media. That was only a few years ago, though, and I have been cheated again, out of the warmth and charm and intelligence that my cousin showed to me in just a few short years. I cannot say that I knew Amanda well, but I surely wish that I could have known her better. Rest well, dear cousin. From your Calgary family, Jim, Sherry and Emma Shipley.

I'll always associate Amanda with plaid shoes and bold eyeglasses, along with good humour, generosity, and compassion, of course. I'm very grateful to have crossed paths with Amanda and worked with her at Crohn's and Colitis Canada. She will be sorely missed.

I am so sorry to hear this news. Amanda was always someone that was so much fun to be with. We laughed a lot. Her humour, her wit, her warmth, her intelligence. I have many fond memories of her when we were growing up in Oakville. She will be missed. My condolences to her husband and family.

Amanda was a special soul, who sadly was shared with us for far too short a time. She touched all who came to know her in her own special way and those who were fortunate to have developed a friendship, working relationship knew very quickly she was an exceptional human being. Amanda achieved great things in her short life just by being her; being present for all those she supported - emotionally, mentally and always offering reassuring guidance. We grew up together, laughed and cried together, and despite living on opposite sides of the country, spoke most mornings before going to work, or while we walked on lazy afternoons, and even during our grocery shops. I will miss my friend - her warmth, her humor and wit... until we meet again.

We were very sorry to learn that Amanda had passed away. She treated us to dinner, witty repartee, and a shared appreciation for the Partridge Family. She was generous too, attending our fundraiser and bearing hostess gifts when we had her over for dinner. She was a regular guest at my brother’s get-togethers and was our favourite person to talk to. It’s truly sad that she is gone.

I had the pleasure of working with Amanda when she was at JVS. We worked on a fundraising luncheon. Amanda was dedicated and inclusive, kind beyond words. She also had a great sense of humour. I send my deepest condolences.

Etan, my heart aches for you with the loss of your beautiful wife, Amanda. She loved her Etanee so, so much and told me that often!
I am so happy and blessed that Amanda was part of my life as a work colleague and amazing friend. She was funny, kind and the best lunch time date, listener and advice giver. She was wise; so wise! I enjoyed gossiping and laughing with her and always felt like she was my biggest fan- an amazing trait I am sure many others felt.
Life feels so unfair hearing about this loss. Amanda was a good one and I’ll miss our conversations so much.
Thinking of you, Etan and keeping you and Amanda’s family and friends in my prayers.

I was shocked and distressed to learn today of Amanda's untimely passing. We worked together many years ago and had unfortunately fallen out of touch, to my great regret. She was a wonderful person: ethical, kind, quirky and funny, organized and absolutely reliable. My teenage daughter was very fond of her, and our days together were always pleasant. She was a wonderful wife to Etan, and devoted to her sister Brooke and other family members. Her cooking was legendary. I am so very very sorry for your loss, and wish I could go back in time to reconnect with Amanda before it was too late. Hold your loved ones tight.

The last time I saw Amanda was during Covid. We spent the day walking around the Distillery and split a bottle of wine at one of the restaurants. I will always remember how much fun we had.

A tribute very fitting to Amanda; a loyal friend of many, with a kind heart. Getting to know Amanda as a colleague at Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, and having her become a friend, was a pleasure. She will be missed by many, and I’m so sorry to her loved ones as they manage this loss. My condolences. My you find comfort in your memories with time.

I was so unbelievably devastating to learn of Amanda's passing.
My heartfelt condolences to Amanda's family. I really enjoyed my chats with Amanda while we worked together at Crohn's and Colitis Canada and after we both left the organization. She was such a sweet person and I will dearly miss her.
