ANDREAS FRANCISCUS ANTHONIUS MARIA ROLF VON DEN BAUMEN Bor n in The Neth erla nds May 23, 1931, passed away in Oakville September 28, 2009 of mesothelioma. Andy will be greatly missed by his children Janette, Andrew, Beverley, Jeffrey, Linda, their spouses and his 11 grandchildren. In God's hands he will join his son, Christopher. Andy is survived by his brother Ted and sisters Hedy and Josephine. Andy arrived in Canada on September 20, 1949 to study agriculture at the University of Guelph and grew to love his adopted countr y. He enjoyed all aspects of life in Canada, developing a love for outdoor activities. A long time member of the Board of Trade, he was a passionate entrepreneur and established several successful businesses. Andy loved dealing with people in both his professional and personal life. Andy was a wonderful father, a loving grandfather and a devoted brother. He loved nothing more than to be surrounded by family and friends at a good party. He remained a huge part of his children's adult lives and will be missed dearly. Special thanks to Dr. Springle, Fa ther Mark Gatto and all of Andy's personal support and health care workers. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 2nd, 2009 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, at the Wa rd Fu neral Home, 109 Reynolds St., Oakville (905-844-3221). Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 3rd at 10 am, St. Matthew Parish, 1150 Monks Pa ssage, Oakville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation for mesothelioma research in memor y of Andy Rolf von den Baumen.
