ANDREW BISHOP Peacefully at Michael Garron Hospital on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the age of 90. Andrew beloved husband of the late Irene May (nee Henderson). Loving father of David. Dear brother of Marie (late Bill) and the late Nina (late Robert). Andrew will be sadly missed by all family members and by many friends. Memorial visitation at Paul O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E. (between Warden and Pharmacy) on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 12 noon until the time of the Service in our Chapel at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.

We were so sorry today, to hear of Andrew's death. We experienced him as a gentle man of dignity and compassion. He was a regular supportive volunteer in our chapel services at Scarborough Grace Hospital for several years after his wife, Irene's death in palliative care. We send our sympathy and prayerful thoughts to David.

I worked with the Ottawa Mortgage Branch of Manulife and had the absolute pleasure of meeting Andy when he visited our branch from Toronto. I remember him as a true gentleman with a kind and beautiful spirit.

I was so sorry to hear the passing of my cousin Andrew, whom I new and remembered from the day he was born. We grew up together in Shotts Scotland, where our mother's were sisters.
I will be 99 years old this year. Andrew called often to catch up, I always looked forward to hearing from him.
Andrew was a lovely man, I will miss him dearly.

Please accept my sympathy on the passing of Andy Bishop. I knew him as a young Human Resources professional at Manulife Financial where he was the executive in charge of Canadian Mortgages. It could be hard to get a busy investment executive's attention when it came to HR matters. Andy was a wonderful mentor and respectful client - he patiently explained the business issues and cooperated fully with any requests, no matter how administratively tedious. I admired his stature and his seriousness greatly (though I did love to see him smile) and felt very proud to have his support when I needed it. He embodied all the traits of dignity and integrity that a leader should have. Manulife was a stronger place for Andy's contributions. And he made a positive difference to me too.
