DALRYMPLE, Dr. Andrew J. 'Blue'
After a 17-year struggle with Parkinsons, Andy died May 12 with family at his side. A brilliant, unique character, he led an inspiring life. Leaving home at 15, he rose from the streets to become a respected psychologist. He was Director of Research at Lakehead hospital, then Chief Psychologist at Penetang Mental Health Centre. When illness ended his career, he led a new life focused on doing great things. A poet, playwright and painter, he authored the rock opera Riddler's Three. He is remembered for his wit and wisdom by Fran and their boys Andy, Evan and Tobin and grandchildren Jenna and Ian. A Celebration of his Life will take place at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (at 14th St., between Islington and Kipling Aves., 416-259-3705) on Friday at 3p.m. lieu of flowers, please donate to Parkinsons Society of Canada.
