ANDREW MARTINSON Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Andrew "Andy" James Martinson on February 13, 2026. Beloved husband of Elaine (Drummond). Loving father of Lisa (John) and Julie. Cherished grandfather of Audrey (Andrew). Dear brother of Judith, Nancy, and the late Janie. A legendary athlete and graduate of McMaster University (1964-1968), Andy was a dedicated educator and Principal with the TDSB, and a past President of OFSAA and the Canadian School Sports Association. His impact on students and athletes across the province was immeasurable. Visitation & Service: Friday, March 6th at 3:00 p.m. at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto). Donations: In lieu of flowers, e-transfers to "OFSAA Alumni Scholarship Fund - Andy Martinson" can be sent to [email protected]. Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca.

Andy was a giant in the Etobicoke High School system, as an educator, a coach and an administrator and just a gentleman. I treasure my memories of him.
