I met Andrew and enjoyed working with him in the evening art studio at Northern Secondary. We all enjoyed seeing his Abstract Expressions weekly.
More visits to Andrew were made while taming his very full Leaside Garden. Condolences to Andrew's family and friends.

Andrew and I spent many lovely evenings together in art classes - colour theory and painting. He was a kind and gentle souI and the world will be lacking in colour and beauty with his passing.

Very sad to hear about Andy. We worked together at Ontario Hydro in the early 80's. Carpooling to Darlington daily was especially fun with Andy. In his tuxedo, he always attended the annual Gauci Snooker Tournament. He usually won. He would jokingly say "it was a sign of a misspent youth." Very cool guy. My condolences to his family and friends.

A gifted artist...I still have the beautiful walking stick he made...we shared a love of books and found humour in the most mundane things. We hadn´t talked in a while but I still considered him to be my buddy. I share in your sorrow and offer my condolences.

I knew Andy in high school and admired him for his individuality, obviously a quality he never lost. He was a great guy. My sincere condolences on the painful loss of your brother.

I knew Andy Mackie as a colleague in what was then Ontario Hydro. Andy was a very special person, very kind and friendly. He had the spirit and manners of an artist, and I believe he worked mostly in art work since he left engineering. He was a good person. May he rest in peace.

Andy was an extremely kind, generous neighbor and friend for a many years. I always enjoyed our interesting conversations while shoveling snow , gardening or just running into each other on Bayview . Andy is truly missed and will be held deep within my heart and memory always .
For Andy´s family and closest friends .......Please know loss is extremely difficult and grieving will come in waves. I feel the best way to cope with loss is to remember and share all the wonderful memories of your loved one.... .....this way Andy will always be with you .
