Howcroft, Anne (nee Carney)
Peacefully at Baycrest Hospital, Toronto, ON, October 11th, 2014, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Tom Howcroft. Loving Mother of Michael (Louise), Lorne (Sandy), Dorothy (Phil Allchin), Mary (Dean Hingley), Cathy (Brian Agg), Anne-Marie (Trevor Shin); and Mother-in-law of Beverly Morningstar. Dear sister of Kathleen Land, Ted Carney and Dick Carney. Predeceased by her siblings: Helen Hogan, Dorothy Carney, Jack Carney, Edward Carney, Pat LoPresti, Mary Tyne, Peggy Szostak, Frank Carney and Sheila Stewart. A great joy in her life was her 15 grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, Stephen, Sarah, David, Allison, Jennifer, Christopher, Samantha, Caitlin, David, Jaclyn, Cameron, Rachel and Megan; her great-granddaughters Charlotte and Georgia; with another great-grandbaby on the way.
We are thankful for the wonderful example Mom set, as the most loving and supportive Mother and Grandmother.
We would like to thank the staff at Baycrest Hospital for the outstanding care they provided. A special thank you to Dr. Grossman and the fabulous nurses in the Palliative Care Unit. We are forever grateful.
The family will receive friends at Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Str., Dundas, on Wednesday, October 15th, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Parish, 58 Sydenham St., Dundas, on Thursday, October 16th, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Baycrest Hospital or to a charity of your choice, in our Mother's name, would be greatly appreciated.
