ANNE McCART Obituary
(June 30, 1927 – March 16, 2026) An elegant life to the very end, Anne Alixe McCart died peacefully, at the age of 98. Anne is survived by her cousins, James W. Wood and Carolyn E. Archibald. She was predeceased by her mother, Alixe Isabel Wood McCart (1898 - 1995); and her father, Dr. Howard William David McCart (1896 - 1958). A graduate of Branksome Hall and the University of Toronto (Victoria College), Anne brought beauty and grace to everything she did. Her knowledge of porcelain and antiques complemented her interest in interior decorating. From her exquisite handwritten notes to her gorgeously wrapped gifts, Anne always took the time to make even simple things beautiful. While at The Claremont, Anne shone as the cover girl of their charity calendar for several years in a row. Anne was a lifelong member of Timothy Eaton Memorial Church. Anne's family wishes to express its gratitude to all her dedicated caregivers and the exceptional staff at The Claremont.

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Anne. She and my mom were childhood friends and remained close for their entire lives. Anne was often at our dinner table on holidays and a regular guest of Mom and Paul at their home in Florida - she was like family and i will forever remember her quiet grace. I was fortunate enough to have had a visit with Anne number of years ago after the passing of my mom - we had a lovely time sharing years of memories. My sincere condolences to her family.
