ANTONIO (TONY) MONTANEZ ELSTER MAY 2, 1918 - OCTOBER 14, 2004 Tony passed away at West Park Hospital on Thursday morning, October 14, 2004 after a courageous and poignant battle. A special thank you to Dr. Peter Derkach, AnneMarie Malek and Colin Graham for their superior support in helping ensure Tony lived his last two weeks in a caring and compassionate environment. Devoted husband of Hildegard Elster for 56 years and the loving and much adored father of Angela Elster. Family and friends in Canada, Spain and Germany will sadly miss Tony. He will be especially missed by Peggy Ward, Yvonne Eder and family, as well as his brothers and sisters: Albert, Victor, Fanny and Adelina, and of course by his cherished cat Mitzi. We will all miss the laughter and fun and the genuine kindness that was the essence of Tony. Born in Malaga, Spain, he lived life to its fullest as an avid fisherman, factory foreman, carpenter and businessman. He loved his family with a passion and loved anything to do with sports or politics. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 29th, 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Old Mill Inn, 21 Old Mill Road, Toronto, just north of Bloor Street West and just east of Jane Street. The service will take place from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Immediately following the service, friends are invited to a reception in the Drawing Room at the Old Mill Inn. At Tony's request, flowers are gratefully declined. If desired, donations to The Royal Conservatory of Music, Learning Through the Arts, 273 Bloor Street West, Toronto, Ontario, M5S 1W2, would be appreciated.
