Arnold NAIMAN Obituary
NAIMAN, Arnold Irving D.F.C.
He left us in the early morning hours of October 21, 2000, at Baycrest Hospital, age 75, waiting just long enough for his family to fly to his bedside from various points on the map. Just like Arnie. He was a feisty flier all his life
from his yo-yo and bolo-bat championships to his 42 missions over Germany during W.W. II; as one of a small cadre of businessmen who opened up the Orient to his years as Commander of the Keswick Power Squadron. Every mission he mastered, as he soared through his world
affecting, inspiring, influencing and motivating every person he ever met. He lived life fiercely with his devoted wife Annette for more than 52 dynamic, adventurous years and was a powerful presence in the lives of his daughters and their husbands, Sandy Naiman and Martin Lager, Elayne and Dr. Jeremy Freeman, and Glorianne Naiman and her partner David Goldberg. His grandchildren Lauren and Allison Freeman and Phoebe and Maxwell Naiman adored him as he did them. He was the wise, big brother of Dr. Lawrence Naiman of California, the funloving kid brother of the late Renee Goodis, and a constant friend to his brother-in-law Norman Goodis. A favourite uncle to his nieces and nephews, this little giant leaves a long and colourful legacy of indelible memories. With gratitude to his dedicated caregivers Winnie and Eunice. Funeral at Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel (416-663-9060) on Monday, October 23 at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Blossom Memorial Park, Brimley Road. Shiva will be at 63 St. Clair Avenue West, Apt. 1402. If desired, donations may be made to Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care Foundation (416) 785-2875 or Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation (416) 586-8201.
