Audrey KENDALL Obituary

AUDREY GAIL KENDALL (nee Burton) It is with shock and sadness we announce the sudden passing of Audrey Gail Kendall (nee Burton), beloved wife of Dr. John Kendall these 59 years. Daughter of G. Allan and Audrey Burton , sister to Lynn (David) Bennett, Janice Baker, and Jamie Burton. Amazing mother of Hugh Kendall (Laurie Wherrett), Kathy (Stephen) Ksiazek, and James Kendall, beloved 'Gran' and irreplaceable cheerleader to Jacqueline and George Kendall, Virginia and Sam Ksiazek. Gail attended Branksome Hall and graduated from the Wellesley School of Nursing. She was quietly talented; playing piano by ear, drawing, painting, and completing Cordon Bleu culinary courses. Her lifelong athleticism extended to skiing, swimming, fly fishing, golf, and many Tennis Club Championships. With her husband John, she climbed Table Mountain, crossed the Grand Canyon on foot, cycled through France, and ran marathons. She remained extremely active until her death at 82, golfing, playing pickleball, walking, and driving all over Ontario to attend a game, meet for lunch, or drop off a gift. Gail was the rare person that has more close friends the older they get. If there was a sporting match, a family occasion, a dock and glass of wine, or a friend in need, she would unfailingly "be there". She adored her children and grandchildren, and she lived for Christmas. We love that we knew her for so long, and we knew she loved us back. A private service has taken place, and there will be a celebration of Gail's life at a date to be determined in the near future. www.smithsfh.com

As with all her friends, we were shocked to learn of Gail's passing. She was so athletic and fit, one would think she could go on forever. She never stopped ~ always on to the next activity.
Gail was outgoing, animated and friendly...and so caring and warm.

We had wonderful times with Gail and John, visiting a very special place in Pennsylvania on several occasions....

We send our sympathies to John and the family for the loss of such a vibrant human being. She was a force and will be missed.

With deepest sympathy

Was so shocked to hear about sudden passing of Aunt Gail. She was always a good part of my life and was quietly thoughtful in so many ways. I enjoyed her great laugh and her infectious spirt for sport and activities. Always on the go, she went full throttle everyday to make life better for those around her. I will miss her tremendously. My sincere condolences to the entire Kendall family. My thoughts are with you.
