GILL, Balraj Singh
Passed away suddenly on December 22nd, 2009. He leaves behind his devoted wife of almost six decades, Rishwant, and sons David, Robert and Peter, and daughter in laws, Kimberlee, Linda, and Natalia. He was a caring and devoted father & husband, and proud grandfather of Christopher, Lindsay, Lauren, Shannon, Alexander, Rebecca, Andre and Nathaniel - and is fondly remembered by them. The family would like to thank all the staff at York Central Hospital LTC for their care and compassion. Born in Punjab in 1922, he obtained an MSc in Agriculture, and became Captain in the Indian Army, until coming to Canada in the early 60s. He joined the Federal Department of Agriculture, where he worked until retirement. Family and friends will gather in January for a memorial, and a Gurdwara service will also take place. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada.
