BARBARA MICHAELSEN

Passed away peacefully after a brief battle with pneumonia, on Thursday, April 17, 2025, with her family by her side at the age of 89. Barb was the loving wife of Uwe for 61 years, mother to Elke and Sandra (Malcic), and Bubba to Jack and Erika. Barbara was also a loving sister to Robert (Amy), Lewis (Laura) and predeceased by Joan, Lloyd (Vivian), Irene and Gladys. Barbara will be missed by her in-laws, many nieces, nephews, and their families, and the many friends she touched over the years. Barbara spent her life giving to others, including years of volunteering for her church, the Canadian Cancer Society, and supporting stroke survivors. A service will be held for Barbara on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 10:30, at St. James the Apostle Anglican Church 18794 Leslie Street in Sharon, Ontario, with a reception to follow at Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Drive in Newmarket at 12:00.
