The deVeber family,
My wife Tannis and I want to send our sincere condolences to all of you on the passing of your father and my cousin Barry. I grew up not far from Barry and George (and Iola) in Toronto and we were all good friends during our early school years. Barry was the strong and sensible leader and provided a role model for his brother George and I and Iola's brother George Plaxton as well. My wife and I remember Barry's kindness to our daughter Judith as she started her university career at Western. You have lost a fine parent and we have all lost a good friend.

Dear deVebers family,

Please accept our heartfelt condolences from cousin Wendy Watson and her kids. Barry was a favourite cousin of Wendy's. Besides his significant professional accomplishments, he managed to bring parts of the family together from Canada to Ireland, always making links and telling great stories. He and Iola regularly came to paint in the Gatineau Hills and gathered the generation of cousins for memories and laughter. He was a wonderful cousin and genealogist (along with his brother George in some of that storytelling).
Barry, RIP with Iola.

Our prayers for Barry and your family,
love Cousin Karen Watson, Wendy Watson et al.
