PARR, Benjamin Franklin
Passed away suddenly on Friday, November 28,2003 at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital in his 76th year. Ben, beloved husband of Marie Parr of Collingwood, loving and steadfast father of Pat and her husband Tom James, Jeff and his wife Shelley Parr, and Kelly and her husband Dave Camp. Will be forever cherished in the hearts of his grandchildren Stephanie and Katie James, and Nick and Mike Parr. Survived also by sisters Donna Marchand and Ruby Wahl. Predeceased by parents Benjamin and Etta Parr. Throughout his life Ben was a dedicated member of his communities: Thorncrest Homes Association, Humber Valley United Church, Alpine Ski Club, and The Bruce Beach Cottagers Association. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2003 at the Fawcett Funeral Homes - Collingwood Chapel, 82 Pine Street, from 7-9 in the evening. A celebration of life will take place on Friday, December 5, 2003 at 1:00 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, 200 Maple Street, Collingwood, with a reception to follow at the Alpine Ski Club. In lieu of flowers, the family have requested donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Charity of the Donor's choice in Ben's memory.
