Bertha Louise Paton
(nee Pearce)
July 17, 1916 -
September 5, 2016
In honour of Bertha, her passing
was peaceful. The last of the
'Pearce Girls', predeceased by
her sisters, Helene and Illahe and
her beloved son, Doug. Loving
mother and best friend to Sandra
Chapman (Paton) and mother of
Paul. Grandmother to Maggie
Chilton (Stephen) and great-
grandmother to Maxwell and
Shia. Bertha was an icon in the
fashion industry for over 40
years and inspired many with
her keen sense of style and
pennache. Sandra would like to
thank the staff and caregivers of
Donway Place. In keeping with
Bertha's wishes, there will be no
funeral. However, in late Fall
there will be a fashion show
hosted by Donway Place in her
memory. Bertha will never be forgotten. Rest now in peace.
