LUSH, Betty Isobel (nee Allman)
Born in Toronto March 27, 1921. She and her husband Sheldon (Shelly) Lush met while attending Malvern Collegiate in 1937 and were married in St. John's Anglican Church on September 27, 1941. This spring, while visiting their daughter Gwendolyn in British Columbia, Betty, after a very brief illness, passed away peacefully, in the Trail Memorial Hospital, on Friday, May 23rd, 2003. She leaves behind her husband Shelly and their five children, Donald (Martha), Joanne (Robert Dilts), Gwendolyn (Paul Sperl), Mary (David Kuracina) and David Lush. Betty leaves thirteen grandchildren, three great- grandchildren and her five sisters, Helen (Frank Walsh), Doris (Luis Busch), Marion (Herb Sims), Margaret (Reg Stackhouse), Mary Lou (Dick Samp). Betty, with her friendly personality and her warm open heart, will be greatly missed by all. A Memorial Service conducted by the Rev. Canon Reginald Stackhouse will be held at the Christ Anglican Church, 155 Markham Road, Scarborough at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10. A reception to celebrate Betty's life will be held at the Scarborough Golf and Country Club from 3-5 p.m. Family and friends are welcome.
