Beverley DEVINE Obituary

Beverley Perle Devine (nee Brown) Born May 15, 1920

It is with a profound sense of loss that we announce the peaceful passing of our vibrant and lovely mother Beverley Perle Devine (nee Brown), 96, in her suite at Del Manor (Wynford) retirement home in Toronto on April 22nd, 2017. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was known for her warm heart and graciousness. Beverley's disarming personality brightened the lives of all who had the good fortune to cross her path.
Beverley was the loving Mother and Mother-in-law of David and Jane Devine (Toronto) and Diane (Chapman) and Dan Smyth (Chatham, ON.) She was cherished and affectionately called 'Nana' by her grandchildren, Jeffrey Chapman (Melanie), Shelby Gilbert (Peter), Paul Chapman (Nancy), and Francesca Devine. She was great-grandmother to Eve, Gwen and Faye Gilbert and Stanley and Rae Chapman. Beverley is predeceased by her husbands Hugh Brian Devine and Robert Ford.

Great care of Beverley was taken as her health declined and we expressly thank her GP, Dr. Michael K. Matthews, Dr. Jennifer Arvanitis of Sunnybrook Palliative Care and the kind staff at Del Manor (Wynford) under the supervision of nurse Brenda Martin.

Beverley hoped that this time would be regarded with a quiet dignity and at her request, cremation has taken place. The family will be present at her interment which will be held at Prospect Cemetery in Toronto on Friday, April 28th at 11:30 am.

Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Beverley are asked to consider a charity of their choice.
