GUEST, Bradley Ivor

It is with great sadness that we
announce the passing of Brad
Guest, longtime resident of
Kingston and formerly of
Toronto, Ontario. He passed
away peacefully at Kingston
General Hospital on Thursday,
April 14, 2016, at the age of 82
Beloved husband and sailing
buddy of Gail Guest (née
McLaren). Loving father of Jim
Guest (Linda Cunningham) of
Landsdowne, Ontario, Judi
(Howard) Lancaster of Kingston,
Ontario and Cindy (Mike) Taylor
of Dundalk, Ontario. Dear
grandfather of Amy (Nick),
Lauren (Chris), Jason, Meghan,
Bradley, Bryan (Cayley) and
Daniel. Great-grandfather of
Cody. Predeceased by daughter,
Janis; parents, Ivor and Thelma
and brother, Roger.
   Originally from Toronto, Brad
graduated with a degree in Civil
Engineering from the U of T in
1955 and he spent most of his
working career with the Port of
Toronto for 35 years. He was
also president of the Canadian
Ports and Harbours Association
After his family, his second love
was sailing and he was
associated with numerous yacht
clubs through the years and
never missed an opportunity to
enjoy time on the water.
   Special thanks to the staff at
Kingston General Hospital,
especially Dr. Booth, as well as
Dr. Goldie of the Palliative and
Pain Management Centre and
the nurses on Kidd 9. Also a
heartfelt thanks to all of our
family, friends, and neighbours
for their incredible support.
   Relatives and friends are invited
to visit at ROBERT J. REID &
SONS FUNERAL HOME - The
Chapel on the Corner, 309
Johnson Street, Kingston, on
Friday, April 22nd, from
2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m
Memorial Service will be held on
Saturday, April 23rd, at St
John's Anglican Church, 41
Church Street, Portsmouth
Village, Kingston, at 11:00 a.m.
   As expressions of sympathy,
donations to St. John's Anglican
Church Portsmouth, Kingston,
Ontario or UHKF - Cancer Centre
of SE Ontario, Kingston General
Hospital would be greatly
appreciated by the family.
