So sorry to hear about Brian's passing. He was a great hip checking defenceman. Many years ago, Brian was a family friend from Sturgeon Point, Ontario. He will be greatly missed.

On behalf of the Members of Team Canada 1972 we would like to express our deepest condolences to Brian's family and many friends. Brian was the ultimate team player. He encompassed and embraced The Power of Teamwork. Brian understood that The Power of Teamwork begins with a commitment to being a team player. Under tremendous adversities during 27 days in September in 1972 Brian's loyalty to his team and his country never wavered. Brian earned lifelong respect from his Team Canada 72 teammates. Brian's instinctual competitive nature during practice raised the battle level of every Team Canada 72 team member. Brian played a vital role in the success and legacy of Team Canada 72. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Brian's family.
