BRILLINGER, Bruce Fredrick Peacefully at home, with his wife Gayle by his side, Bruce passed away on January 5, 2010. Predeceased by his eldest son Kevin, survived by his daughters Anne Hadley and Tina (Randy Rorabeck), sons Chris, and Marc (Jennifer), and daughter-in-law Cindy Weiner. Beloved Grandad of Jamie, Nicole and Amanda Hadley, Allison and Ian Hastings, Marlee and Cale Brillinger, Alex and Russell Rorabeck.
Bruce, born September 26, 1936, son of Hilda (nee Payne) and Harold (Jack) Brillinger is survived by his sister Judy Twiddy (Scott) and brothers Peter (Linda) and Don Brillinger (Jane Bryce).
Bruce founded Mister Transmission in 1963 with his late business partner Jerry Etkin and together with Kevin, Randy Moore and the Mister Transmission team, built the company into a successful and nationally recognized enterprise.
Bruce was a long-standing and active member of Richmond Lodge #23, Rameses Shrine and Royal Order of Jesters. He was extremely proud of his association with the Shriners and their charitable work in support of Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Visitation at MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 10366 Yonge St., Richmond Hill (4 traffic lights North of Major Mackenzie Dr.) on Thursday, January 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm (Masonic service at 7 pm), and Friday, January 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 9 at 11 am at St. Mary's Anglican Church, 10030 Yonge St., (Entrance off Major MacKenzie) Richmond Hill. Internment at Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills East (between Leslie & Hwy 404) followed by a luncheon-reception at Richmond Hill Country Club (8905 Bathurst St.) from 1-3 pm.
