DALEY, Bruce Francis(Principal, Teacher and Mentor with the Scarborough Board of Education)
Peacefully, on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1999, Bruce at age 49, with family and friends around him. Bruce, cherished husband and best friend to Dawna and devoted father to Lisa and Alison. Beloved son of Frank and Marian Daley and brother to Heather, Bob and Phyllis. Forever loved by Irv and Flo MacLeod, the MacLeod family and the Pierce family. Bruce will be missed by many nieces and nephews whose visits he cherished and whose lives he touched with his humour, knowledge and gentle spirit. His adventurous spirit and camaraderie will be fondly remembered by his family and friends and sorely missed by his dog Barley. The family will receive friends at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East (east of Kennedy Rd.) on Tuesday, April 6 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, April 7 from 5-8 p.m. A Celebration of his Life will be held at the Anglican Church of St. Andrew, 2333 Victoria Park Ave. (at Hwy. 401) on Thursday, April 8, at 1 p.m., with visitation from 11 a.m. in the St. Andrew's Room. Memorial donations can be made to Friends of Algonquin Park or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family wishes to thank Dr. James Brisby and the staff of Scarborough General Hospital for their care and support. Bruce will be particularly remembered for his passion and dedication to children's learning, music and the environment.
