I met Carl and his wonderful family in 1983 and stayed at St Anne´s . I helped him build two HarTru tennis courts at the property. I´ll never forget the hospitality and fun we had during that visit. Rest in peace Carl.

I had the special fortune to meet Carl Corcoran when we both spoke at the same event. He was an accomplished executive and I was a rookie. He was encouraging and supportive as he took the time to speak with me. Through my own error, I missed the opportunity to speak with him again in 1984 which I regret. I am not surprised that he was and is regarded so highly. RIP Carl Corcoran

My grandfather Carl was larger than life. Always charming and the practical joker, Carl had the unique ability to make you feel special, like you were on the inside of a joke that only he fully understood. I am grateful for his presence in my life and particularly thankful for the the entrepreneurial spirit he instilled in his children, which has been passed down to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In that way, Carl's legacy will continue to live on long after his passing.
He will be deeply missed and remembered.

Today, October 12th, would have been your 95th birthday dad. In your later years you, mom, David and I would often plan a trip around this time. We had lots of wonderful trips together roaming the less travelled roads of England, Ireland and Europe. You were a great teacher, full of curiosity with a love of architecture, history and the outdoors. You also taught me so many wonderful lessons about business that guide me in everything I do. You were always up for a challenge and loved to challenge those who walked in your shadow. Today we are planting 100 Sugar Maple Trees in your memory. I will miss your stories, your encouragement, your fearlessness, and your tough love.

So many wonderful memories and so many laughs along the way. Thank you for being my father-in-law! The person who spent many hours on end teaching me how to hit a tennis ball, the trips we took together.......hiking village to village in the mountains of Japan, exploring the Isle of Sky in Scotland, showing us Paris and Monaco! We were so lucky to have those amazing memories with you and Nan. You taught us so many valuable lessons, how important it was to make someone laugh, how you can clean your tennis balls when you are having a bath (but try not to overflow the tub while staying in a boutique hotel in France!) Another tip while traveling.....no worries on bringing lots of clothes when you can always rent silk panties off your wife! One last funny memory....we were in Italy and one morning we all got up and all that was left was Carls shoes beside the bed! Chris was traumatized as he thought Carl had disappeared in the night with no one knowing! He always kept us on our toes!
You were a charmer Carl and will be deeply missed by your family!
Safe travels to your next adventure! Love you Dad!

I am truly going to miss my father. He certainly had a wonderful sense of humour that I am so thankful for. He was in a long term care home for the last part of his life. He never complained about being there and always said he didn´t have an ache or pain anywhere. Near the end of his life , we were so fortunate to have lots of facetime visits with dad thanks to Keri and Hastings Manor. He wouldn´t say very much but he certainly enjoyed the music we would play for him. He loved Willie Nelson, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett but his favourite song was always Danny Boy. Miss you and love you Dad. Xoxo

I'm Anna Harris, Carl's great granddaughter. He was a very sweet and frail soul while I knew him. I didn't have the privilege to see him very much due to covid restrictions and other safety issues due to his health, but when I did visit him it was wonderful. He would always sing whenever I would come to visit him. He always seemed content with where he was and who he was with and never complained. He was always funny and cheery, even in his last years. He was my last great grandfather and it was sad to see him go, even though he lived a long and fulfilling life that anyone would be very proud of. fly high Carlos<3

Our beloved grandpa Carlos! Thank you for all the wisdom and many lessons you passed on to your family, perhaps the most important being to never take yourself too seriously and always find the humour in your circumstances. We will always remember the stories you told and the ways you made us laugh. Thank you for being a great grandfather who took an interest in each one of your many grandchildren. Love you forever.

Carl Corcoran changed my life. In 1974 I had been contemplating going into IBM sales. In one of our conversations he said, "June, how old will you be in two years if you go into sales?" Not realizing the moment of truth was coming, I answered and then he said, "And June, how old will you be in two years if you DON´T go into sales?" I quickly realized I would be the same age whether I attempted sales or not and it was important not to have regrets in the years ahead. His advice was invaluable throughout my sales, management, entrepreneurial, and academic career and I owe a debt of gratitude to Carl Corcoran. My condolences to Carl´s family and friends and may he rest in peace.

An era ends at IBM Canada! Carl was a brilliant leader from whom I learned a lot in my first staff assignment in 1981. He had some unique and memorable ways of passing on IBM´s strengths and culture to young pups like me. He led the company through many great years by focusing on the values that generated success in those days. I´m grateful for everything he taught me. My condolences to his family and friends.
