CARL BERNARD DAVIS

August 10, 1946 – August 13, 2025 It is with sadness that we announce that Carl died at St. Joseph's Hospital, after a fall. He is survived by his wife, Denise Schon; his children, Kate Davis (Sonny Banerjee), Saul Davis (Celine Cressman), and Meredith Davis (Thomas Krzyzanowski) from his marriage to Jane Glassco; his stepson, Michael Hellwig; and his grandchildren, Sonia, Reuben, and Louis Banerjee, Maeve Cressman, Rex Davis, Sadie and Oscar Krzyzanowski. He leaves his brothers, Peter Davis and Daniel Davis. He was predeceased by his father, David Davis (1956); and Pearl Davis (1999). Carl was known for his irreverent sense of humour, his generosity (particularly toward his nieces and nephews, whom he adored), and his dedication to reading the death notices. A graveside service will be held on August 25, 11:00 a.m., at Temple Anshe Sholom Cemetery, 427 Limeridge Road, Hamilton. Shiva at his home after the interment, and Tuesday and Wednesday 6–9.
