I was telling a friend about Ms. Reeve-Newson this morning and looking her name up on the internet discovered this page. I am sad to learn of her passing. She was as described, a wonderful teacher with a deep caring and interest in her students. She also had a wicked smile. God rest you, Carole.

Sad news. I have always said to my kids that you will never forget the great teachers in your life. The others will fade away. Carole was one of the greats in my life. Grade 12 chemistry at Midland in the mid 60s. I think she would have been happy to know that although I never successfully memorized the periodic table, I did become a teacher. Thank you Carole for being one of the great ones.

I met Carole when I first started teaching at Midland and we became close friends. She was caring and helpful and we had so much fun. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was so beautiful in every way. I hope her family is comforted hearing how she touched so many lives.

I worked with Carole at Bendale BTI. I believe she was our first female principal. She was a great advocate for women! I can still hear her infectious laugh! May she Rest In Peace. Deepest Sympathy to her family and friends.

Carole was a lovely woman and colleague who felt strongly about educating children about ecology and growing native trees. She will be remembered by her team at seeds to saplings. Rest In Peace Carole.

Ms. Reeve-Newson was my chemistry teacher. She was kind and so beautiful. We used to joke that she had been a playboy bunny before teaching. I remember her gorgeous legs. As a teacher in Scarborough myself I got to chat with her as a colleague. Such a happy down to earth individual. So lucky to have known her.

On behalf of the Ontario Agricultural College (OAC) at the University of Guelph, please accept our sincerest condolences to Carole's family and friends. As Class President, Carole was passionate about connecting with her fellow classmates and led the class in its various fundraising activities to improve the lives of current students. Her generosity of spirit will be deeply missed, however I hope her family and friends can be comforted knowing that her legacy will live on at the OAC.

Taught me chemistry in 13, worked with me personally to achieve a pass and thus graduate. I never forgot that kindness.

Always knew her as Mrs. Reeve-Newson. She was my chemistry teacher in Grade 10 and 11. If you couldn't learn chemistry from her, you just couldn't. Always a pleasant and talented person. May she rest in peace.

Hard to believe that vivacious personality and infectious laugh could be stilled. I have many happy memories of sharing in that laughter over morning coffee and lunches in Midland's staff room. My deepest sympathy to all the family.

I knew Carole from our years together at the Toronto Lawn Tennis Club and we renewed our acquaintance years later through bridge events. She was held in high regard by other mutual teacher friends from the Lawn, and in the bridge community. My sincere condolences to her sisters and their families.
