Carole THOMSON Obituary

CAROLE ROSEMARIE THOMSON Of the City of Toronto, in her 63rd year passed away peacefully on June 2, 2021 at St. Joseph's Health Centre. Carole stoically battled Multiple Sclerosis for close to 40 years. Carole was born in Toronto on August 29, 1958, the only daughter of Jim Thomson and Rosemarie Lynn. Carole is survived by her mother and she will always be her mother's baby girl. She has three loving older brothers, Jim (Sally), Paul (Lu) and Warren (Lisa). Carole was a loving aunt to Christopher, Samantha (David Digings) and Rachel (Dan Robertson) and a great-aunt to Caleb, Jamie, Sabrina, Sally, Jordy, Laney, Enna and Davin. Gary Rodrigue was her loving husband for many years. Carole graduated from Scarlett Heights Collegiate Institute in Etobicoke and she worked at Kingsway Transport, Toronto, Dome Petroleum, Calgary and Beecham Canada, Toronto. In her younger days Carole loved skiing, camping and being in the great outdoors. Her and her dear lifelong friend Dr. Cinda Dyer enjoyed going to many concerts together. Carole loved Marilyn Monroe films and the music of Elton John. She also enjoyed playing scrabble, cards and other games with her mother and their dear friends. The family will be arranging a private celebration of Carole's life when the pandemic restrictions permit. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Runnymede Health Care Centre or St, Joseph's Health Centre would be appreciated. Carole like her favourite movie star, lived life like a candle in the wind, all who met her had their days brightened by her joy of life.
