COSMAN, Mrs. Catherine Gertrude
Peacefully at home in Dorval on June 11, 2004. Beloved wife of William for sixty years. Dear mother of Robert of Toronto, Catherine (John Nettleship) of Knowlton, David (Linda Shattuck) of Bury, James (Heather Lamont) of Sarnia, Nancy (Glen Hildebrand) of Burlington, and Thomas (Mary Anne Whidden) of Wolfville. Devoted grandmother of Brian, Abby (Mitchell Smallman), Daniel, Grant (Christina Bros), Simon, Patrick, Benjamin, Stephen, Mark, Andrea, Paul, Ivan and Sarah.
Survived by her sister, Mildred Eames of Washington State. Predeceased by her brother Hayden who served in the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Regiment in World War II, and who lost his life in the struggle for Caen, and by her sister Evelyn and her brother Bernard.
Mrs. Cosman was born in Alexandria, Ontario, in 1914, the daughter of Joseph Donat Asselin and Elizabeth Ann Hayden and was a graduate of Iona Academy and Carleton University.
Visitation was held at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 boul. des Sources, Dollard- des-Ormeaux, QC (514) 685-3344, on Sunday, June 13, 2004 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Veronica's Church, 1300 Carson Avenue, Dorval, QC, on Monday, June 14, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Rideau Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Sun Youth Organization, 4251 St- Urbain Street, Montréal, QC H2W 1V6, or to the charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
