Catherine JOSLIN Obituary

Cathy Joslin (nee George) passed away peacefully, on March 3, 2024, after a brave battle with aphasia and dementia. She is survived by her loving husband, Barry; her brother, Ted George (Gail); her sons, John (Susan Wright) and Ted; stepdaughter, Martha; and her grandchildren, Ben and Clara. Cathy had an unerring sense of style and design, and went through life with an understated elegance. She watched and listened more than she talked. Cathy loved to travel and had a particular interest in ancient ruins and cultures, and for some reason, orangutans. She was always happiest when with family, taking great delight in festive occasions and individual accomplishments. Heartfelt thanks go to the staff at Meighen Manor who always treated her with care and respect under all circumstances. If you wished, Cathy would encourage you to support your local arts and cultural organizations, with a particular affection for the Toronto Arts Foundation. As per her wishes, Cathy will be cremated with no funeral service. She will be laid to rest alongside her parents in St. James Cemetery, Toronto. If you're ever driving down Rosedale Valley Road where the St. James grounds come close to the road, she’ll be right there. Wave to her, she’d like that.
