BOYD, Charles Edward
Born in Newmarket, January 20, 1922; died at Southlake Regional Health Centre (formerly York County Hospital), Newmarket, on Friday, August 17, 2001. Son of the late Edward A. and Ethel Morton Boyd. Beloved husband of Laura Whitfield, devoted father of Kathryn Anne and Edward (Ted) and his wife Leena and grandfather of Christopher and Kevin, his pride and joy. He is survived by his favourite sister-in-law Eve and her husband Ralph Golterman of Chicago and his two nieces, Ellen of Los Angeles and Leigh of New York. Charles had a stroke five years ago but was so happy to be able to share with Laura and his family and friends their 50th wedding anniversary on June 2nd of this year. A Masonic Service will be held at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket, on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Trinity United Church on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
