(1935 – 2025) Charles Robert "Bob" Solloway passed away peacefully in his sleep, at Lions Gate Hospital, on August 14, 2025, at the age of 90. Born to Harold Eugene Solloway and Elva Merle (née McAllister), Bob was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Edgar Solloway. He is remembered with much love by his wife, Noreen (née Kelly); as well as his niece, Laura (Shawn) Allen; nephew, Aaron (Andria) Palmer; and great-nephews, Justin, Owen, and Zachary. A proud third-generation British Columbian, Bob graduated from Prince of Wales in Vancouver before earning degrees in Commerce and Law from the University of British Columbia. After 32 years with Weldwood of Canada, he retired in 2000 as Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary. Formerly he served as President of the Association of Canadian General Counsel and as Chair of The Leon and Thea Koerner Foundation. Since 1969, he had been a keen member of the Pennask Lake Fishing and Game Club. Bob and Noreen met in Singapore and shared over 50 years of adventures and travels together. He will be remembered for his love of family and friends, music, gardening, photography, food, fly fishing, and skiing.
