Charlotte Marguerite HECTOR

1932 - 2022

CHARLOTTE MARGUERITE (CAMPBELL) HECTOR 1932 - 2022 Charlotte passed away peacefully on August 22, 2022, at Centennial Place, Millbrook, ON at 89 years of age. She will be lovingly remembered as a wife, mother, and 'Nan Extraordinaire.' Born and raised in Toronto, Charlotte was a graduate of Branksome Hall ('51) and the Toronto General Hospital School of Nursing ('54). In 1956, Charlotte married Richard 'Ian' Hector and together they raised three children, Catherine (Tim) Crockford of Medicine Hat, AB; Richard (Kim) Hector of Uxbridge, ON; and Andrea (Kevin) Matthews of Clarington, ON. Charlotte always commented that having grandchildren was worth having children for, and she was blessed to have five grandchildren whom she adored: Matthew (Kaylen) Crockford; Amy (Mark Peterson) Hector and Brian (Heather) Hector; Katie (Matthew Lipinski) Matthews and Emily (Jarret) MacDonald. We can only imagine how she would have loved her three great-grandchildren: Ainsley MacDonald, Charlotte Lipinski and Avery Hector. Charlotte was predeceased by her parents, Lancing and Charlotte (Magee) Campbell; three older brothers, Bruce, David and Donald; daughter- in-law, Kim (Garside) Hector; and most recently her close cousin and 'sister', Ann (Gilday) McBride. Cremation has taken place through Mill Valley Funeral Centre. A private, family interment will take place in Merrickville, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
