CLAUDE RYAN (1925­2004) In Montreal, on February 9th, 2004, at the age of 79, Claude Ryan, husband of the late Madeleine Guay (1925-1985), son of Blandine Dorion and Henri-Albert Ryan. Survived by his children Paul (Martine Létourneau, Thomas, Élizabeth, Nicolas, late Michelle); Monique (Marc-André Blanchard, Adrien, Laurent); Thérèse (François Martel, Geneviève); Patrice (Marie-Claude Lortie, Juliette, Léon, Alice); et André (Christine Poulin, Joseph, Frédéric). Also survived by his brother Yves (Huguette Labrecque) and Francine Duval, spouse of the late Gérald Ryan (1923-2002) and his sisters-and brothers-in-law, Jean-Paul Guay (Fabienne Julien), Mariette Lachance (late Jacques Guay), Denise Guay (late Fernand Toussaint), Madeleine and Napoléon Patry (late Marcel Guay), Yvette Guay (Rolland Théberge), Charles Guay (Marguerite Larochelle), Lucienne Guay (JeanCharles Dallaire), Jacqueline Guay (late Pierre Bernier), Pierre Guay (Blandine Pouliot), as well as many nieces and nephews and other relatives, as well as countless friends and former colleagues. Resting at Centre funéraire Côte-des-Neiges 4525, chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges (514) 342-8000 on Wednesday, Febr uary 11th, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.. He will then lie in state in the Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur chapel of Notre-Dame Basilica 426, rue Saint-Sulpice On Thursday, February 12th from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. A National funeral will be held on Friday, February 13th, at 11:00 a.m., in Notre-Dame Basilica. Messages of sympathy may be forwarded to www.protocole.gouv.qc.ca. Donations to the Fondation du CHUM (1034, rue Saint-Denis, Montréal, H2X 3J2), to the Fondation de l'Hôpital d'Argenteuil (145, avenue de la Providence, Lachute J8H 4C7) or to any other organization fighting poverty would be greatly appreciated.
