It is sad to learn that Cornelia passed away. I am shocked. Cornelia will be remembered for her friendliness and high intellect by all those who worked with her. She will always be dearly missed ,

I had the privilege of caring for Dr. Cornelia "Corrie" Baines, and through her, I learned so much about the power of kindness, family love, and the unwavering bond between a mother and her children. Her wisdom, warmth, and grace touched my heart deeply, and the love within her family inspired me every day. I will always remember her as a remarkable woman who gave so much to others, both in her professional life and in her personal relationships.
With gratitude and love,
Meskerem

I met Corrie in 1963 when Andy and I were founding Junior Fellows at Massey College. Our paths crossed many times in the years that followed, usually at Massey, where all three of us became Senior Fellows. I learned to admire her intelligence, charm and sense of humour. She was a remarkable person; may her memory be a blessing!
