DAGMAR NOVAK Peacefully, on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Toronto, at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Frank Novak. Cherished aunt of nephews Grant Lorenz (wife Sue) and Dean Lorenz (wife Debbie), and great-aunt to Serena, Connor and Chelsea Lorenz. After being diagnosed with cancer in June, Dagmar put up a courageous battle with the disease but passed away peacefully on Saturday with family by her side throughout her last few days. Dagmar had many passions but four dominated the fabric of her life; travel, skiing at Mansfield, her husband Frank, and her nephews and nieces who she cherished and treated as her own children and grandchildren. Dagmar and Frank were married for 61 years, were founding members of the Mansfield Ski Club where they made many friends over their 45 years as members, and travelled the world together over their long shared history. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. West in Toronto, between 10:30 and 11:30 on Friday, November 12, 2021. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, 122 Rathburn Rd. at noon on Friday, November 12, 2021 with interment to follow at Glendale Cemetery. Due to the limitations still in place surrounding COVID-19, space is limited, and all guests must register in advance. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dagmar's memory may be made to Covenant House.
