A year later: Word finally reached me that Dan died in 2022.
Dan and I were childhood friends -- we were in Grades 1, 2, and 3 at Bialik Hebrew Day School. We played together, and went to each other's birthday parties. Here's a photo of Dan from my 10th birthday.
Although we lost touch, I always thought he and I might eventually reconnect. In our early 20s, 1977 or 1978, I saw a notice in the newspaper that he would be performing in Toronto. At that point I lived in Kingston, but I travelled to Toronto to attend the performance.
May his memory be a blessing.

I´m so very sad to hear the sad news of Dan´s passing. I carry fond and happy memories when we were friends studying at the Royal Academy Of Music. My sincere condolences to Nonny and his family , Rest in Peace to a kind and gentle friend . Best Alexi (Stuart)

I am very saddened to read of Dan´s passing. Danny and i were close friends around the age of 15 to 16. We were both studying classical guitar and played duets together. He was very good and very disciplined. He was a kind and gentle soul. The photo is of us with Oscar Ghiglia, a well known guitarist at that time. Rest in peace, my friend.
