DANIEL JOHNATHAN ARATO Daniel Johnathan Arato of Calgary, died tragically on Saturday, February 1, 2003 in an avalanche at Roger's Pass, while on a school outdoor education trip, at just 15 years of age. Beloved son of Judith and Peter, brother of Thomas; grandson of Alice Arato of Toronto, and Nanette and John Konig of Sao Paulo; nephew of Elizabeth and Henry Kahn of Chicago and Martin and Evelin Konig of Sao Paulo; cousin of Fred, Helene, Edward and Beatrice and extended family from around the world. Daniel will be remembered for his unique character, warmth and caring, love of people and love of life, a limitless passion and energy for his interests, boundless imagination and happiness that radiated to everyone who had the fortune to know him. More than anything, Daniel was love and emotion. He cared deeply for others and wanted very much to bring joy to others, everyone from children for whom he did magic tricks to wanting so much to live up to his parents expectations. Daniel touched the lives and hearts of so many people in so many different ways,and will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. Funeral Services were held at the Beth Tzedec Synagogue (1325 Glenmore Trail SW Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, February 4, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. Interment followed in the Jewish Cemetery, (30th Avenue and Erlton Street SW).If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada, 106, 223 - 12th Avenue S.W., Calgary, Alberta T2R 0G9.
