Halloween was his favorite day of the year, with lots of mischief making with his sister and friends. He was an excellent basketball player (Air Murphy). Dan loved the Canucks, never missing a televised game wearing one of his Canucks jerseys. He was an avid camper, fisherman and gamer, and loved going to the gun range. Dan took great pride in his job as a Protection Services Officer (PSO) for Island Health, protecting patients and other staff with his co-workers. He worked at Campbell River Hospital (CRH).
