With great sadness, the family of Dr. Daniel Charles Pollock wishes to announce his unexpected death on Thursday, June 26, 2008. Beloved husband of Elaine. Loving father to Geoffrey, Meghan and Adam. Cherished little brother of Jack of Calgary, AB and Kathleen Berge, of Victoria, BC and 'big brother' of Kathryn and Brenda. Dearly loved by his extended family. Daniel was born on January 18, 1945 to John and Martha Pollock in Edmonton, Alberta. He earned a Bachelor's degree at the University of Alberta and a Medical degree at the University of Saskatchewan. Outstanding physician and respected psychiatrist, Daniel will be sorrowly missed by his many patients to whom he was completely devoted. Daniel has touched us all with his love of learning, his enthusiastic pursuit of new adventures, his creativity and his zany sense of humour. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), for a visitation on Thursday, July 3 from 4 to 8 p.m., with prayers beginning at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 4 at ST. BASIL'S CHURCH, 50 St. Joseph Street. Following the interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, a reception and a wake will be held at the Badminton and Racquet Club, 25 St. Clair Avenue West.
