Daniel Kuniharu Washimoto
Passed away peacefully on February 21, 2013 at 99 years of age. Dan is predeceased by his first wife Amy and by his second wife Chiyoko 'Betty'. He is survived by his children Delia and Cary, and by his stepson Ian Akiyama (Marcia). Also by his grandsons Mitchell (Jenna) and Matthew (Inga) and great- grandchildren Finley and Eloise. Dan was a contemplative, caring individual who was a distinguished member of the Japanese community. Thank you to the staff of Kensington Gardens for their compassionate care. A visitation will be held at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. West (2 lights west of Yonge St.) on Saturday, February 23 from 5-7 p.m. with a service to follow in the chapel at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Momiji, JCCC, or Kensington Healthcare would be appreciated.
