DAVID BOLDUC
DAVID BOLDUC February 10, 1945 – April 8, 2010 Celebrated as a brilliant and prolific Canadian artist who offered the world his optimism, intuition and intellect on canvas and paper; to his family and close circle, David was an adoring husband, devoted father, voracious reader, traveller, jazz and blues enthusiast, avid naturalist, history buff, film aficionado, collaborator and dear friend. He was happiest surrounded by his loved ones and would rather paint, hike, watch the ocean, swap stories, listen to Miles, discuss literature, enjoy Preston Sturges movies or go fishing than talk about art – but he would always take the time for erudition when anyone asked. He leaves his wit, charm, inspiration, vision and love of life with his beloved wife Blaise DeLong, his adored children Christopher (Nicole), Ethan (Michelle) and Alexandre Bolduc (Luke), their mother Candace Coates-Garuti, son Wayland DeLong, mother Eugenie Bolduc Nager (Robert) (David was pre-deceased by his father Bernard Bolduc), sister Maryellen Charette (Maurice) and their children, brother-in-law Paul DeLong, nephew Matthew, niece Andrea and friends. We will miss him and always hold him dearly in our hearts.
