(June 1, 1935 - February 26, 2026) In loving memory of David Melville Campbell, predeceased by his parents, Dr. David M. Campbell, Rosalie Szammers Campbell; brother, Dr. John Campbell; and sister, Claire Campbell Tomlinson. Also predeceased by his partner of many years, Robert Rawlings. David is survived by his one remaining sister, Rosalie Campbell Reese (Ralph) of Owen Sound. David was born in Toronto in 1935. He spent his working years in that city, then moving to Picton after retirement. David quietly passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Picton. David had "favourite uncle" status with his 11 nieces and nephews. He was beloved for his clever wit and jolly sense of humour. He had the ability to choose Christmas gifts that the children loved, but the parents…not so much, they usually made a lot of noise. He also enjoyed getting the little ones very excited and energized right at bedtime. He will be missed. In keeping with David's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Private Family Gathering will be held in the Summer of 2026. If desired, donations to The County of Prince Edward Public Library & Archives would be appreciated.
