Time catches up to us when we least expect it, and so it is that I learn of Dave's death today. It has been many years since we connected and yet time cannot erase memories of our time together at Queen's University. We were in the BComm program together for four years but there was one special year of sharing life ensemble. Dave was one of seven of us who shared a house and created special memories as we cooked, cleaned(?), and supported each other that one year. We shared many laughs.
Dave - as you set up shop upstairs, remember that one cooking lesson learned on Brock street: do not mash potatoes while pot is still on the stove burner. Rest in peace old friend!

It is with a very heavy heart that I write this having learned about Dave´s passing. I met Dave when we were both 9 years old going to Appian Drive public school. Dave and I were in a group of 5-6 really close friends and Dave and I hit it off immediately as real good buddies. We, all of the group, did everything together. Dave was passionate about sports and he and I were members of the Vanier Vikings high school football team that made it to the semi finals in all of Toronto. Dave was an awesome linebacker. Dave was also a physical specimen in his youth and that allowed him to flourish in all the sports he played and he played them all. Good clean healthy childhoods we all lived, were so fortunate.
Dave always had his priorities perfectly focused, a tribute to the values set forth in the Jeffrey family. All of his siblings became very successful adults. We all focused on sports, education, living a full childhood and making something of ourselves. Fortunately we all accomplished that and Dave became a hugely successful account.
Sadly our lives took us in completely different directions after university but the childhood memories were prices less. Dave was a dedicated, non judgemental and unconditional friend. All of us who knew Dave benefitted enormously from his friendship. After learning about Dave´s passing I´m sure all of us are reliving our youthful memories that Dave was such a huge part of !!
Dave was one of the really good ones on the planet and the world is now a lesser place without Dave.
Selfishly I so wish after losing touch for literally decades, Dave and I will never have the chance to catch up and reminisce. But I´ll see you again one day my friend but I hope you don´t mind if it isn´t too soon . I´ll never forget your contagious laugh and valuable friendship when it mattered the most in our youth !
To John, Kevin and Stacey, I wish you all speedy and complete healing. Dave certainly would want us all to carry on living our lives to the fullest.
For now I´m sure Dave is now telling the " Almighty" just how to make a superb tackle at the line of scrimmage to keep the opposing running back from making any yardage gain at all
RIP Dave. You lived an enviable life

We are both shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Dave´s passing. What started as a business relationship more than 25 years ago, evolved into a friendship. We will miss his guidance in business and interesting views on current events but will especially miss his wit and wonderful sense of humour. Our deepest condolences to the family he cherished.
