David Leslie JOHNSON

DAVID LESLIE JOHNSON Dave passed away peacefully, at his home, on September 18, 2022, in his 94th year. He will be mourned by his children, Jennifer (Tim Marta), John (Kathryn Irwin), Bruce (the late Lisa Rosen) and Bud (Laurie Simpson). Beloved grandfather of David, Cora, Chase, Jack, Sarah, Jeffrey, Russell and Kristin, and great-grandfather to Alice, Caleb, Robin, Nolan and Lily. Dave was predeceased by Ruth (Knowles), his wife of 54 years, and his parents, Norman F. Johnson and Ada Kerr. Dave was a Business and Engineering graduate from the U of T in 1951, and began his career with Shell Canada, continuing until his retirement. He enjoyed many interests, including playing saxophone, and singing in the church choir. His life was enriched by cottage life on Georgian Bay, and a love of the Northumberland Hills. Special thanks to the nursing and care teams at Donway Place, for their professionalism and caring. A visitation will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G 6W8 on Saturday, September 24, at 10:00 a.m. A service will be held at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.
