We lost one of the happiest men on the planet on February 20, 2026, after a brave battle with dementia. David Paul Landry was born in Campbellton, NB. He is survived by his wife, Mary-Helen McCormick; and his two children, Rob and JoAnn. David is also survived by his six brothers and sisters, and four well-loved grandchildren. He was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews spread across Canada, as well as five brothers and sisters-in-law. All of us loved David. David attended St. Malachy's High School in Saint John, NB, and later St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, NS. He spent his entire career with Royal LePage Real Estate. He began his journey with RLP in Knowlton, Cowansville, and Granby, QC. Later, he moved on to Aylmer, Hull, and Gatineau, QC; Beaconsfield and Montreal, QC; and Ottawa, ON. From there, David worked for RLP in Calgary, AB, where he began selling corporate offices as franchises. Following this, David returned to the RLP head office in Toronto for a time, where he negotiated his way to ownership of the RLP Burloak franchise in Burlington, ON. It was a great joy for David to welcome his children, Rob and JoAnn, into his partnership. He always said they were smarter than he was. In accordance with the family's wishes, funeral services and interment will be private. Instead of flowers, donations can be made to David's favourite charity, the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, which helps women and children find safety from domestic abuse. This lovely man will be profoundly missed. Arrangements entrusted to Smith's Funeral Home, Burlington, 905-632-3333.
