DAVID LLOYD Obituary

1943-2025 Passed away peacefully in hospice care on January 10th. He is survived by his wife, Alayne Lloyd; as well as by his son, daughter, stepsons and two granddaughters. Over a distinguished career as a Principal Research Scientist for Alcan International Limited, Kingston Research and Development Centre, David made many contributions to industry and academia in the field of material science as a metallurgist and physicist. In early retirement and living with cancer since 2000, he continued to find much enjoyment in travel, family visits and the company of friends around the world, in Kingston, Ontario and most recently, on Vancouver Island. He was most content in the quiet company of his wife or a family member, with a good pipe drawing and looking out at the water - be it Lake Ontario or the ocean. He will be greatly missed.
