DAVID MORRIS Obituary
(September 30, 1953 – October 1, 2025, Montreal, Quebec) It is with sadness and gratitude that we announce the passing of David Dyson Morris, who left us peacefully on October 1, 2025, after spending the evening watching his beloved Yankees. David was predeceased by his beloved wife, Laura Anne Morris, with whom he shared a life defined by devotion and partnership until her passing in 2019. David passed away on what would have been his and Anne's 48th wedding anniversary. He is survived by his children, Andrew Dyson Morris (Genie) and Laura Alexandra Morris (Joseph); his brother, Robert Morris (Marianne); and his cherished grandchildren, Victoria Belle, Emmanuel, and Charlotte, his newest joy whom he met only days before his passing. Born on September 30, 1953, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, David was a constant source of stability and wisdom for his family and friends. A man of intellect and integrity, David built a distinguished, decades-long career as a senior partner at Deloitte, where he led major engagements for some of the world's leading institutions. His work took him to many corners of the globe, where he forged deep and lasting friendships, shared countless memorable meals, and developed a profound appreciation for people and culture. David found joy and peace in life's simple pleasures - time spent at Jay Peak, a quiet round of golf, or evenings watching sports in the company of family and friends. He will be remembered as a man of calm presence, sharp intellect, and generous spirit - someone whose quiet strength, perseverance, humility, and love will continue to inspire and guide all those he leaves behind. His family and friends will miss him forever. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Forest and Stream Club in Dorval, QC, where David's family and friends will gather to honour a life well-lived.
