DAVID SHANOFF Obituary

With sadness, we say goodbye to David Shanoff (born February 26, 1940) who passed due to complications from hip replacement surgery on Sunday, April 27, 2025. He is survived by his sister, Joyce Hersh (Alan, Brad and Brian); his two daughters, Jodi (Mike, Penny, and Teddy) and Tanya (Sam, Sophie, and Justin); and by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn (nee Huggins). A gathering of immediate family will take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens on May 7, 2025, followed by a reception for friends and family later that evening. David will be missed for his irreverent sense of humour, impatience, and his many, many email forwards. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation by calling 416-946-6560 or online at thepmcf.ca. Please select "Give in Memory" to dedicate your donation in memory of David Shanoff. If you would like to attend the reception, please email [email protected] for details.

Dear Marilyn and Family

We are so sorry to hear about David. So please Derek and I were able to share a meal and reminisce about the past in our recent trip back. Will miss his rye humour and quick wit. Sending blessing and condolences.
